Marc Anthony

Marco Antonio Muniz – Marc Anthony’s real name – was born in New York September 16, 1969. It started in music by his father who taught him composition and theory, while hearing the most important South American artists. At the age of twelve he was discovered with his sister by the producer David Harris, the first Marc writes and sings for other musicians – including Latin Rascals and Menudo – and then, in collaboration with DJ Little Louie Vega, he recorded his debut album , WHEN THE NIGHT IS OVER (1991), work which also saw the participation of Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri. OTRA following NOTE (1993) and TODO A SU TIEMPO (1995). From his fourth album – Against COURANT – 1997, began working with producer / arranger Angel “Cucco” Pena, and then in 1999 won the Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Performance. (more…)

Puff Daddy

Sean Combs – real first name of the artist known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy and then finally as Diddy – was born in 1970 in Harlem, New York, where he is in contact with the urban violence since young: three years his father, involved in a prostitution and drug ring, was killed in Central Park.

In 1990 he met the head of Uptown Records, who hired him in its label, is career rapidly, producing records for artists like Mary J. Blige. He founded his own label, Bad Boy Entertainment. Meanwhile, a growing rivalry with Death Row Records of Los Angeles, which leads to the killing of Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG in 1996 the following year. (more…)

Ice T

Tracy Marrow – Ice T’s real name – was born February 16, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey.
Orphaned of both parents dying in a car accident, leaving his hometown for Los Angeles, where he joined a gang and where he is shot twice.

Fortunately, it finds its way into music, starting in 1983 with the single “The coldest rapper, rhymes in an improvisation based on an old piece of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. It is with “Ya do not know” that Ice T will start to bring agreement, candidate for the first West Coast rapper. Between 1987 and 1991 public Ice T, under contract with Warner, a 4 album. 88 accounts, for the movie, the song “Colors”, photograph of the two gangs in LA Bloods and Crips. (more…)

Eazy-E

Eric “Eazy-E” Wright was born September 7, 1964 in Compton, California. Turbulent adolescence has to leave school and stay starts selling drugs. With the profits he founded his own label rap, Ruthless Records with Jerry Heller, a veteran of the music industry. He discovers diverse talents such as Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who are recruited to write songs for various artists.

Their song “Boyz-n-the Hood” was rejected by HBO, a label bearing the Rutheless, then Cube, Eazy and Dre formed the first version of NWA The debut album, N.W.A. THE POSSE ANF is released in 1987, but ignored. The following year, when it’s now the stars are, however, NWA, Eazy-E recorded his debut album, EAZY-DUX-IT, which sells two million copies. (more…)

Ludacris

Christopher Bridges was born in 1977 in Illinois. In 2000 – after working for some time on radio – can be put under contract, thanks to his meeting with Timbaland, with Def Jam with which he made two album, Incognegro (2000) and BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME the same year , also published the single “What’s your fantasy?” that becomes a great success at home. Sales of substantial help track his second work rises to the top of the Billboard charts.

The next disc – WORLD OF Mouf (2001) – reveals another great satisfaction, coming third in the best-selling albums and placing a series of individuals – such as “Area Codes” “Rollout (My Business)”, “Saturday (oooh oooh!) “and” Welcome to Atlanta “- at the top. (more…)

Muse

The muse was created in 1997 aa Teignmouth in Devon, England, when the three friends Matthew Bellamy (vocals, guitar), Chris Wolstenhome (bass) and Dominic Howard (drums), decided to fight the boredom that pervades their sleepy town shouldered tools . Messis immediately to light thanks to their sound and their live prowess, the Public Museum (also in 1997) and their first self-titled EP, immediately following (the following year) from the Muscle Museum (EP), which consecrates them as a band of world famous. Their first album, dated 1999 and titled SHOWBIZ, leads the band at the center of the European press and elsewhere. My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance (whose name is inspired by author Irvine Welsh) was born in New Jersey in 2000, the encounter between the singer Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pellissier.

The two began to write some songs and after a while the band turns into a quintet with the recruitment of guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero and bassist Mikey Way (Gerard’s younger brother). With this line-up My Chemical set to work for the first album that sees the light in 2002 under the title MY I Brought Bullets Brought Me Your Love YOU. The album, sounding pop-punk and introspective lyrics, was produced by Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly, which the band is compared.

In 2003 My Chemical Romance sign a contract with Reprise / Warner and a year later realize THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE. The second chapter of American education is winning the bang and the more mainstream radio and MTV with hits like ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise) “,” Helena “and” The Ghost Of You. ”
Despite the growing success (or perhaps because of) in mid-2004 the drummer and co-founder Matt Pellissier of the group left the band and was replaced by Bob Bryar. (more…)

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

The story of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS begins in Los Angeles in the early 80′s animated. The band created a cult following with his explosive music and its performance. The first album RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS came out in 1983, followed by Freaky Styley (1985), from The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (1987), by minialbum ABBY ROAD (1988) and Mother’s Milk (1989).

In 1991, after ten years of presence on the American scene, the RHCP sign a contract with Warner, which allows them to be known also by the great European public. The same year he published Blood Sugar Sex Magik: four times platinum, is their most ambitious and monumental (17 tracks and double-disc vinyl version). The album, produced by Rick Rubin, is a fusion of rap / rock and funky energetic, and an ear to the static and creativity of contemporary music. The R.H.C.P. are establishing themselves as one of the most challenging of the international music scene. In fact, the tour on this disc ed trademarks dazzling a sold-out in both America and Europe. Scorpions

The Scorpions was formed in 1971 by the union of five boys of Hanover, who share a passion for music. Rudolf Schenker and Klaus Meine, pillars of the training, have helped early by his brother Rudolf, guitarist Michael, Ulrich Roth and Herman Rarebell. AC/DC

The group was founded in 1973 on the initiative of Malcolm Young, who co-opts the band’s younger brother Angus, 14 years old at the time: for this reason that the early performance of Angus on stage takes place in school uniform, which quickly becomes a true and its trademark.
