Jamesetta Hawkins was born January 25, 1938 in Los Angeles, fourteen year old African American mother, Dorothy Hawkins, and unknown father (the artist will be to convince Rudolf Walter Wanderone, Jr., a famous professional snooker player known by the nickname “Minnesota Fats “). From then on, continues to churn out a big production, ranging from disk live (the two albums with Eddie “Cleanhead” Vinson, BURNIN ‘DOWN THE HOUSE-LIVE AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES), collections of unpublished material (LOVE’S BEEN ROUGH TO ME , 1998; LET’S ROLL, 2003) homages to pop standards and jazz (TIME AFTER TIME, 1995, HEART OF A WOMAN, 1999; BLUE GARDENIA, 2004), blues (LIVE, LOVE & THE BLUES, 1998; Matriarch Of The Blues, 2000; BLUES TO THE BONE, 2004) and soul (ALL THE WAY, 2006, which also contains a cover of “Imagine”), and enjoying a sudden flashback of popularity thanks to the inclusion of his classics in several commercials ( thanks to one of these, in 1996 “I just wanna make love to you” back to the top of British charts). It ‘s also a time of awards after the entry into the Blues Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame (both in 2001), in 2003 Etta received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement, which has doubled two years later by a statuette for best album of blues LET’S ROLL contemporary.

The group was founded in the late ’80s from the ashes of Sweet Children, the band from Rodeo, California, where Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar) and Mike Dirnt (bass and vocals) will make the bones from the earliest age. In 1989 the Lookout for the group’s first EP, 1000 HOURS, followed a year later by another EP, Slappy, and a first album, 39 smoothe.

The next year is the time of Kerplunk album that precedes a change of label and see the entrance to the formation of the drummer Tre Cool. The group, provoking a firestorm of controversy, go to Reprise, that affects DOOKIE: is 1994, and the album sold over 9 million copies worldwide. Following world tours and the publication of two more albums, Insomniac, 1995′s NIMROD and ’97, before the exhaustion hit the group on tour in Berlin. After three years of almost continuous break, in 2000 the band releases a new WARNING.

After harvesting INTERNATIONAL Superhits, The new album arrives in 2004 is titled AMERICAN IDIOT, and contains some songs structured like rock opera, that is, made more songs. The album brings to the foreground and at the top of the charts the band, which leaves for triumphal tour, which is extracted at the end of 2005 the live CD / DVD BULLET IN A BIBLE.
Between 2007 and 2008 the band returned to the stage, announcing that it has begun work on a new album and new songs online publishing under the pseudonym Foxboro Hot Tubs.

In 2011 out AWESOME AS F ** K, CD / DVD live: the audio portion was recorded during different stages of the 21st Century Breakdown World Tour, while the DVD was recorded Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The album contains the unreleased “Cigarettes & Valentines”.

Faith Evans was born June 10, 1973 and raised in Newark, New Jersey, where at the age of two years begins to sing in church. Formed in London Bloc Party are Kele Okereke (vocals / guitar), Russell Lissack (guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass / vocals) Matt Tong (drums). Okereke and Lissack met at the Reading festival and form the core of the group, in addition to the other two soon. The first demo was sent around in 2003, as Union. A copy is also sent to Franz Ferdinand, who invited them to play at the party label Domino.

After a couple of EPs published as final, the debut album SILENT ALARM comes out in early 2005, after a tour as a support to Interpol. The debut is dazzling and Bloc Party sell a million copies worldwide. In early 2007, Kele Okereke and company prints the expected damage to the second chapter with the title A WEEKEND IN THE CITY, an album that repeats the formula of the first, a meeting point between indie-rock dance and melancholic.
At the end of August 2008, Bloc Party, with a surprise move, make available (fee) the new album INTIMACY for download on their website, looking for the month of October, the release date of the physical disk.

Les Claypool was born September 29, 1963 in Richmond, California. Began his musical career at age fourteen, performing in several local bands, having completed his studies, he joined a cover band called Tommy Cranck Band and their durations during this period also bought his first Carl Thompson bass, which became his trademark factory. Discarded from Metallica to play bass, he plays first with Blind Illusion – that in 1988 they released the album SANE ASYLUM – and then with Primus. The history of the Chemical Brothers began in Manchester in the late eighties, with the meeting of two university students in the Faculty of History: Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons are both fans of acid house, hip hop, techno and American rock, the type most busted. After the EP limited edition “Loops of Fury”, the disco hit (20,000 copies sold out in four days), April 1997′s DIG YOUR OWN HOLE, preceded by the highly successful single “Block rockin ‘beats”, while a year and After half time the album is the remix of “Brother’s gonna work it out.”

In 1999 the group back on track with a strong album with psychedelic colors, SURRENDER. In 2005, Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands produce PUSH THE BUTTON, their fifth album, with the participation of Tim Burgess of the Charlatans, the rapper Q-Tip, Kele Okereke (lead singer of Bloc Party), Anwar Superstar (brother of Mos Def) and English Magic Numbers.

In 2007, after publishing an anonymous ultra-limited preview titled “Electronic Battle Weapon 8 & 9″, the duo returns with a new work called WE ARE THE NIGHT, which also take part as guests Klaxons, Ali Love, Fatlip , Willy Mason and Midlake Texans. After just over a year comes the double collection BROTERHOOD.

Barisford Robert Brown was born February 5, 1969 in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
